Frank Eykelboom – Comment from a Student at our Centre

Last February I spend a couple of weeks in Hong Kong, trying to improve my skills in Zhineng Qigong. About two years ago I learned the basics of Qigong and level one LCUP practice in the country where I was born, The Netherlands. Although I practised regularly, the practice was not very deep.

After an brief search on the net, I found the center of Master Han. We agreed on a total of ten private lessons, taught in English, to learn level two Body and Mind method and Pouring Qi Body Strengthening Method.

The teachings I got where very clear and continuously adapted to my level of understanding. Of course, the fact of having private lessons contributed to this. I found it fairly easy to learn both methods within the given time of ten lessons. Next to these lessons I was encouraged by my teacher Edna Chan to join the daily La Qi exercise in the afternoon and to do as much Qigong exercise in my "spare" time.

But what I appreciated most were the "down to earth" explanations about Qi, and how to connect better to, and feel the Qi. In many of my exercises I was either corrected or improved in order to achieve this basic necessity.

The concept of Qi and the practice of Qigong were explained to me as a very natural, logic and most basic phenomenon in our world, as opposed to the magical and esoteric concept most people in the West have (if any concept known at all).

After this fairly intense month of learning and practising Zhineng Qigong I have cured a minor injury in my knee, strongly improved the flexibility of my spine, improved my level of understanding and practice of the whole Zhineng Qigong system as known to me so far, and most importantly achieved a higher level in practice and feeling Qi.

Back in my home country I am now very motivated to keep on practising and improving my Qigong. I am very thankful for having had this opportunity to study Qigong so intense together without Edna and Master Han and I hope to be back in a few years to raise my practice again another level.
