Posture Requirement
1. Lie down, with both legs straight.
2. Place right hand on the centre of the upper abdomen, and left hand over the right hand.
3. Move both hands in clockwise circular motion (left, down, right, up). The correct movement is that the hands should press the same area of the skin and do the circular motion. The speed should be slow and steady and the area should be from small to large. (see the above picture)
Foucs of the Mind
The mind should focus on the inner abdomen, i.e., right before the spine, and one should be fully focused while doing the exercise.
Benefits
This exercise is good for the replenishing of kidney and central qi of our body. This is also a very good remedy of digestive & intestine problems, diabetes as well as insomnia.
This exercise is derived from Shaolin martial arts. This is a good method in cultivating central qi and building inner strength. After 1-3 months of practice, central qi and stamina would increase. The voice would be loud and powerful. The upper abdomen would become full and the central concave line of the abdomen would disappear. These are the signs of the “risen tendon membranes”.
